A run box on your start bar.

I came across something quite interesting recently. If you want to have a run box (like the run command on the start menu) on windows xp you can select 'Address Bar' from the toolbars added to your start bar.

Once you do this you can position the address bar (just the normal explorer address bar) wherever you like - I put mine on the far right before the tray.
You can now either type a url, but to be honest, thats a bit useless, since the box is so small, but it allows you to type anything you would usually type into the run box 'cmd', 'regedit','calc' etc and it will open up the application. I've only started using it, so I might get annoyed and dump it, but at the moment, I think its quite cool.
